Tutta Toscana Olive Oil 1/2 Liter - 2009 Harvest

This olive oil comes from a single estate in western Tuscany, south of Pisa, that has been in one family's hands since the 1920's. The olives are the "Tuscan Triumverate": lecchino, moraiolo, frantoio, but the flavor is fuller than some other Tuscan oils, due perhaps to the fact that these seaside trees did not suffer the debilitating freeze that sent Tuscan olive trees back to their rootstock back in the 1980's. Brought to us by Ex-Pats Betty and Cesare Nadalini, these guys are so meticulous about taste that they fly the oil here in refrigerated containers. Try a little, and taste Tuscany today.
